Dutch Design Week 2025

18.10.2025 - 26.10.2025 Dutch Design Week (also known as DDW) is the largest annual design event in Northern Europe. It presents the works and concepts of more than 2,600 designers to more than 355,000 visitors from home and abroad. The event, which is being held in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, is dedicated to Dutch design. The event takes place around the last week of October and is a nine-day event featuring exhibitions, studio visits, workshops, seminars, and parties in many locations scattered throughout the city.

Due to its industrial nature and hosting companies such as Philips, Philips Design and DAF, Eindhoven aims to become the national capital of industry and design. In addition, the city is home to the Eindhoven Academy of Design and the Eindhoven University of Technology, which creates a solid foundation for innovation. A Dutch design week has been organized to report on these results.

The initiative began twelve years ago as a non-profit fair where design, industry and business could talk to each other on a "neutral" basis. Since then, the event has grown rapidly each year, reaching 355,000 visitors in 2018.

DDW consists of about 120 sites. The main venues during the event are, in particular, Klokgebouw (Strijp-S), the Eindhoven Academy of Design and the Faculty of Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology, where successful and well-attended exhibitions are organized.

While the main goal remains to create a non-profit event, numerous conflicts of interest and rapid growth have indeed contributed to a more commercial approach since 2007.
